The Lisle Library's renovation project began on September 4, 2007. The first indication that something was happening was the sign going up at the west entrance. Renovation Sign Supplies were delivered. In the first week the east entrance was excavated to prepare it to become the new main entrance.  Concrete footings were poured and electricity was installed for new lighting. The east entrance was prepared to become the main entrance.
The east entrance with the door moved and new sidewalk Youth Services re-opened at the end of October with temporary carpeting and 

a minimum of furniture, but they were really happy to be back and the children were glad to see them.

The renovation moved on to the fiction section and the AV department. The wall between AV and the Reader's Advisors was removed and the space reconfigured. Miss Leann at the makeshift Youth Services service desk The fiction section was covered in plastic.

Friday, November 16th. The north facade will have new windows and an emergency exit.
