|Back to Weekly Renovation|
|The Lisle Library's renovation project began on September 4, 2007. The first indication that something was happening was the sign going up at the west entrance.||Supplies were delivered. In the first week the east entrance was excavated to prepare it to become the new main entrance. Concrete footings were poured and electricity was installed for new lighting. The east entrance was prepared to become the main entrance.|
Youth Services re-opened at the end of October with
temporary carpeting and
a minimum of furniture, but they were really happy to be back and the children were glad to see them.
|The renovation moved on to the fiction section and the AV department. The wall between AV and the Reader's Advisors was removed and the space reconfigured.||The fiction section was covered in plastic.|
The west entrance closed on
Friday, November 16th. The north facade will have new windows and an emergency exit.
|The brick red soffit indicates the position of the new service desk. AV will be located behind the arches. Carpeting arrived in mid-January.|
