Adult Services:
We are a staff who love to read, research, and recommend a wide variety of all types of literature, genre fiction, film and music.
The Adult
Services Department would like to thank all patrons who participated in our
Summer Read Program. We went online this year making registering and writing
reviews more convenient for our patrons -- plus we saved a ton of paper!
A
total of 371 people signed up and 1776 books were read!
On July 28th
we had our Summer Read party that was a great success! Jeffrey Mitchell,
Associate Curator of Aquatics and Reptiles at the Brookfield Zoo gave a
well-received presentation. Over 16 prizes were awarded (or raffled off) at
our party!

Our pink
octopus was given the name "Neptune Squigglewski"
Thanks to Shedd Aquarium, Sea Lion Aquatic park of Lisle, Catch 35 Seafood Restaurant, and Brookfield Zoo and Whole Foods for their generous donations. We would also like to thank VIP Products of Naperville for working with us again this year to imprint our cool foldable tote bags.
The most popular mystery book was Sizzling Sixteen by Janet Evanovich, the most popular fiction book was The Help by Kathryn Stockett.
