Revised June 2006

Through a state-wide grant,** ListenIllinois recently expanded its service to become a true digital Audiobook Mall! In addition to the digital audiobooks that must be downloaded to a Library-owned player, it now offers audiobooks you can download for yourself to either a computer or MP3 player (Library has MP3 players available for patrons to borrow to download titles for themselves). Due to conflicts with Apple software, none of these audiobooks will play on an iPod. If & when these conflicts are resolved, the Library will look to expand service to iPod players as well.

Below is our Store Directory. Each "store" offers different titles and has its own sign up process for accessing the titles. When asked for your barcode you always want to use your Lisle Library Card barcode number and for PIN use the last four digits of your phone number.  Each store also offers an FAQ to help patrons with their download questions.

**Funding for this grant was awarded by the Illinois State Library (ISL), a Division of the Office of Secretary of State, using funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), under the federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).
