The Daughter of Time by Josephine Tey
DNA tests have confirmed that human remains found buried beneath an English car park are those of the country's King Richard III.

The search for King Richard's body was spearheaded by Philippa Langley when she read a book written by an American academic named Paul Murray Kendall about Richard III, afterwards she became very interested in King Richard's story. His book, Kendall claimed, "was based almost entirely on contemporary sources. There he found a sympathetic narrative of a just but wronged king, quite unlike the monster portrayed by later Tudor writers whose vindictiveness, gloried by Shakespeare, had misled generations.” Four years earlier Josephine Tey had successfully raised the notion of a historical conspiracy to darken Richard’s reputation in the book “The Daughter of Time.” In Kendall‘s book he offered 65 pages of footnotes with corroborative evidence of the conspiracy. Josephine Tey’s book was one of the catalyst to the discovery of King Richard's body.
