Tis the Season -- For Hollywood Awards Ceremonies: Starting with Golden Globe Nominations Announced Today

Golden Globe Awards graphic

As stated on Wikipedia, "The Golden Globe Award is an American accolade bestowed by the 93 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) recognizing excellence in film and television, both domestic and foreign."

Here at Lisle Library, it is also an excellent indicator for who might win the 2016 Oscars -- and help patrons to win our "Pick the Oscar Winners" contest. Yes, that will be coming up soon too! The 89th Academy Awards will be at 7:30 PM - 10:30 PM (Central Time) on Sunday, February 26, 2017. Keep an eye out for postings specifically on the contest after the first of the New Year!
