Booked for the Day

The Girls in the Picture by Melanie Benjamin

The Arcada Theater in St. Charles has Silent Film Night. The Arcada is located in St. Charles at 105 E. Main St.  On Tuesday, August 13th at 7:30 they will be showing:

Charlie Chaplin in "Shoulder Arms" and "A Dog's Life."

This film was Charlie Chaplin’s final contribution to the WWI effort. Chaplin is a member of the “Awkward Squad” and we first see him being put through his paces in training camp. He has problems with making a proper about-face and with marching, constantly annoying his drill sergeant.

Live accompaniment provided by Chicagoland’s premiere organist, Jay Warren, on Arcada’s historic 1926 pipe organ!

We missed Douglas Fairbanks film "The Nut."  It was showing in March. For more information
