Robert B. Parker, who passed away on January 18, 2010, was an American writer of fiction, primarily of the mystery/detective genre. His most famous works were the novels about the fictional private detective Spenser which were made into the TV series, Spencer: For Hire and the Jessie Stone novels which were made in TV movies. If you are interested in learning more about Parker you can read about him.
