The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin
Review: A character does not become interesting just because he/she is surrounded by and reads books - very ordinary book, with one-dimensional characters, no depth in any of the story lines

A bollywood affair by Sonali Dev
Review: Bollywood is the huge film industry in India that churns out an enviable amount of films every year. But this book is not about Bollywood though.. Its about love .. And second chances... And healing... it touches two unspeakable evils in India... child marriages and mistreatment of children born out of wedlock... But Sonali's characters are so well-developed
that you cannot keep the book down once you start reading...

Coraline by Neil Gaiman
Review: A horror book for children that will also please adults.  Dark, creepy, terrifying and haunting, this book will have both children and their parents reaching for their flashlights and nightlights after night falls.

When Coraline moves to a new house, she finds a secret door that leads her into a world much like her own.  What horrors await her in this other world? Coraline must be strong and brave in order to survive and save the people she loves.

Strong female heroine with guts and initiative.  Recommended for children and parents.
